I know, we are the worst bloggers ever. It’s been over 6 months since we posted anything here. As you can imagine, life with a toddler can be challenging and time consuming, so this blog has been badly neglected. We do try to update the photos on Flickr, so if you want to check those out, they are here. They’re not quite up to date, but there’s definitely some newer stuff.

Now, here’s the part you’ve all been waiting for, Stella meeting Santa at the Tilden Park Carousel.

Also, Stella has been taking dance classes and here’s her first recital. It was right before Halloween, so that’s why some of the kids are in costume. We have a more recent recital on video which I’m in the process of editing down a highlight reel from 40 minutes of raw footage.

We’re sorting through hundreds of photos to post, but for now, here are three videos. First up is Stella finding what Santa left and tearing open some presents:

Last year Stella was too young to truly enjoy Halloween. We took her to a few pumpkin patches and dressed her up to take pictures, but she didn’t really know what was going on. This year she is old enough to enjoy pumpkin patches, petting zoos, hayrides, a party and trick or treating, as well as her first taste of candy. Here are the pictures and here’s the video:

We all know that Stella loves to dance. Tonight we tried some Springsteen. 10th Avenue Freezout didn’t do it for her. Badlands either. But she really liked Rosalita!

I know it’s been a very long time since we’ve posted anything. We have a bunch more pix that we need to post including a bunch that my mom took when we were last in NY. But for now, here’s a little video of Stella doing a freeform jazz exploration on piano.

We had lots of fun with Stella in NY and there will be hundreds (I am not exaggerating) of pictures for us to post when we have the time. Here’s a video of our trip to the petting zoo.
