Family Reunion and Other Summer Fun Pix

It's been 2 weeks since we got back from the Stebbins Family Reunion and we're finally posting some pictures. As many of those reading this know, we had to fly out to New York for my grandmother's funeral right after returning from the reunion and we've been spending the last week playing catch-up. That's why it's taken this long to post the pictures from the reunion. We wish we took more, but we were so busy introducing Stella to all of her aunts, uncles and cousins and enjoying the family that we forgot to snap pictures. Here is that album, and here's another album of shots that we took at Tilden Park in Berkeley and other places nearby.

When we awoke on Sunday at the Hotel (during the reunion) we checked our messages to find that Jason's beloved grandmother had passed during the night. She was a much loved woman of kindness and beauty and we will miss her dearly.
That morning we returned to the cabin for brunch and departed for home soon thereafter, and everything is a bit of a blur from there on. The end result is that we flew to NY and Stella had a visit with Grandmop and Grandmop at their house here in California while we mourned the loss of Jason's Grandmother. A very difficult time for everyone, but it was good to be with Jason's family during this tough time.
We have reunited with Stella back at home today, and after we finally catch some Z's (sometime tomorrow I hope), we will put up some photos of Stella and her cousins at the reunion. I wish that I had taken far more photos including one of Grandma (Stella's Great Grandma) Stebbins with Stella! What was I thinking?! Next time the camera will be out and will be used far more than last weekend!

Stella's First Hotel Experience

This weekend we had a great time at a family reunion. Stella got to meet a whole lot of aunts, uncles, cousins and a couple of doggies for the fist time, and she was on her absolute best behavior. Now nobody will believe us when we say how difficult she can be at times. She also got to spend her first night in a hotel room. Of course, we were nervous that she'd have a hard time sleeping in a new environment, but as you can see from this video, she had a good old time, and this was shot only 10 minutes before she was asleep for the night.

When we told Stella that it was her Aunt Bree's birthday, she got so excited that she clapped, jumped, spun and blew kisses.

Lots of New Pictures!

I know, it's been a long time since we've posted anything here. Stella is 17 months old, in the 50th percentile for height and weight (her growth has evened out), and she is running, climbing, jumping, yelling and on the verge of saying real words. We've got three sets of pictures from her trip to visit Grandmop and Grandpop in Cambria, trips to Fairyland and Studio Grow, and other pictures from this summer including a concert in the park, a visit from Bada, and other fun stuff.
